The STS-1220-AP2 is a 2-phase single axis linear stepper motor that generates a continuous force of 11.0 lbs [48.8 N]. Integral air bearings are used to maintain the required motor air gap. 60 PSI of filtered compressed air should be supplied by the customer. It does not come supplied with precision roller bearings to guide it along the platen. These can be added as a custom option. The customer may also supply their own bearing guidance system. Power is supplied to the motor via a 7.5in long cable with a 4-pin Molex connector (P/N: 39-01-4041). There are mounting holes on the top of forcer to allow for payload mounting.
